Which neck finishes do jar preforms come in?
Jar preforms come in 7 neck finishes: 38 mm at 5.5–10 g, 48 mm at 63–73 g, 53 mm at 13–28 g, 63 mm at 18 g, 83 mm at 29.5–51 g, 96 mm at 34–50 g and 120 mm at 70–101.5 g. That is 28 neck and weight variants in all, and the spec table lists every weight.
Which cap fits a jar preform?
A jar preform takes the jar cap made for its neck size. Caps are matched to the neck finish and thread, not to the diameter alone, so check the cap against the finish (38 mm, 48 mm, 53 mm, 63 mm, 83 mm, 96 mm and 120 mm) first.
